So I told you I would post a little more about Swiss Days. So here goes. It was a really great weekend. I was a little unsure about how I was going to handle two full days of walking up and down isles of home made Utah junk but I managed and had a really great time while doing it. I got some great things.
Here is a list of things that I came home with: A cute onesie for Gus, a tie for Nathan which he loves, a matching tie for Gus, a bracelet and a doll for Zoee, and a cute book for Nate about how to raise a boy.
All the rest was for me (I am entitled to be selfish once in awhile). I got a picture frame and easel to put it on, a Swiss days shirt, some snowflake Christmas tree ornaments, some really cute sheep to go in my kitchen, a bread box that Nate hates already, and best of all...a really great shelf!! I have this weird nook in my entry way that doesn't fit anything so I have been wanting a shelf or small table to put there so when I found it I had to get it. It fits perfect and I love it because it gives me 5 more places I can put stuff.
Here is the before and after pictures. I had to paint it.
Howard bought me a very nice picture at the Robert Duncan studio. I saw it and I loved it but didn't think I could really buy it so I didn't. My sweet father in law came out of the store and handed it to me. It made me want to cry. He did SO many nice things for me on this trip and made the trip so fun. I am glad we got to spend the time together and get to know each other a little better (even if he does say he learned WAY too much about his son and daughter in law). Thank you.
I ended my part of the trip on Sunday afternoon after IKEA. I went back to Huntsville. I had some stuff that I needed to do and needed to spend a little more time with my family before I left to come back to Vegas on Tuesday. It was sad to depart from my in laws but once again, Howard, being the clever little creature he is, gave me one more gift.
I am a little ashamed to post it but I will. I will post it with pride because it was a gift. That doesn't mean I will actually use it!!
Thank you my fellow Swissers. Thank you letting me tag along and for making it such a great weekend. I love you all.
