Memories

Nate made a comment last night about how I grew up so today I have had that on my mind and have really been enjoying the memories. I think that I had the greatest childhood and I am so grateful for the many fun memories I have from growing up. I would like to share a few.

*When we went to Lake Powell and ky almost drowned. (really glad you didn't Ky!)
*All the many torture tests Shane would do to Cody when mom and dad were gone. Like rolling him up in a bunch of blankets and tying it so he could not get out and then making him lay in front of the wood burning stove.
*All the many "businesses" Kyle tried to start. The best was when he went door to door trying to sell raw foot long hot dogs. I think he traded one for a baseball card and that was it.
*Me and Cody playing Lost in the Barrens and Indiana Jones when it was pouring rain and freezing outside. We thought it was fun to run around barefoot and "try to survive."
*When mom and dad brought Kaylee home from the hospital. I was excited to finally have a sister!
*The time when Kyle got so mad at me that he threw a hot dog at me and it stuck to my neck.
*Our Christmas Eve tradition. Thanks Mom for doing that for us!
*The time when Mom was changing in front of Kyle and he said "Mom, your butt is really really big."
*The many trips to Kanab to see Grandma. (sand caves, sand dunes and Dennys Wigwam)
*The time when we went to Dennys Wigwam and Cody spent all his money on stamps from a stamp machine. Out of all the things to buy....
*When Shane ran away and spent the night in the tree house.
*The time when Kyle tried to run away and packed all his stuff in a Wonder bread bag.
*When Kaylee (about 6 years old) called Kyle a Bastard when we were playing dominos.
*When I punched Ky so hard he threw up.
*When Dad put that wolf fur on his back and came crawling in the house and scared the crap out of me and Cody.
*When Kyle told me that I was such a bad driver that when I drove the van around corners it tips on two wheels. That takes talent if you ask me!
*The many family nights we spent boating on Pineview.
*When dad washed my mouth out with soap.
*When Kyle stole my two dollar bill and dad beating him for lying. (really Dad, you did)
*When Shane started the barn on fire.
*Sleeping in the same room on Christmas Eve.
*When I wrote Cody + Shawnee all over the road with chalk and I got sent to my room.
*When we went to Disneyland and stopped in Vegas and were amazed at how big it was.
*When me and Cody played that mean trick on Morgan Holmes. It was mean but it was good!
*The time mom found Cody on the front porch in the middle of winter. He was sleepwalking.
*Kyle saying that he wanted to be an astronaut and if that didn't work out he would be a clown. Way to shoot for the moon Ky!

I love my brothers and sister so much! I look forward to sharing many more with them.

Stac,
I do not know how you have such a great memory! This is by far the funniest blog post I have EVER read. I am sitting in my office laughing out loud (everyone else is silent BTW) tears just rolling down my face. I had to stop reading a few times to gain my composure!! Oh my gosh Stac, nobody makes me laugh like you do. I love you and your family!!
