We went camping last week up at Mt. Charleston with Nate's family. We went last year but ended up coming home early because it was SO cold. This year was much better. It was really nice during the days and the nights weren't too bad. The kids did great and we had a really fun time. GREAT campfire conversation this time!
All the kids-minus Zoee and Ellie. They were sleeping.
Jer looking really good!! She wouldn't let us get a picture of her from the front but she looked sexy.
Doug and Greg making that delicious dinner!
Nate and Zoee sitting around the campfire.
It was a good time. I left feeling very thankful for my parents and had a new appreciation for them and for all they did for us so we would have a good childhood growing up. I thought many times how camping as a kid used to be so fun and I realized how much stress and work it is on the parents. My parents used to take us camping all the time and to do lots of fun stuff outside and I appreciate it more now because it is HARD work!!

Love the pictures. Especially the one of Gus pulling Zoee's hair! Ouch.
Gee thanks for posting that haha. For the record I WAS COLD!!! Plus I forgot I was dressed like that...all tucked in and such! haha
Oh, the front version was so much better, too, although the back one is pretty good. Tyler was seriously perplexed even after Jer went back to her tent and asked, "seriously, what does she have wrapped around her head?" He didn't really believe me when I said it was her hoodie. Good pics of your cute family :)
k....you can take down that pic anytime now!!!! P.s. I can and WILL get you back in the worst of ways if need be! wink wink!
You know, it's so true... you really don't know how much crap your parents put up with until you become one. Every time I get sick I think of my mom and how we never "noticed" that she was sick, because, well, we were self centered brats. I know that family trips probably were NOT vacations for my parents, but they took us anyway. Your parents are obviously awesome (like mine) and did the same things. Three cheers for selfless parents!! May we one day hope to be like them.
