I've decided...

...that one of the best things in the world is being able to look into your kids eyes and continuously appreciate what a huge blessing they are in your life, how beautiful [you think] they are (cause we all know that there are people out the whose kids are just flat out ugly, yet they swear they're the cutest little things in the world. Nope, sorry to say it, but not every kid in the world is as adorable their parents think they are. anywho,) and how much fun it can be just to have them around and watch them learn and grow and all the mushy stuff that comes with it. Early mornings suck, spit-up and barf sucks, poopy diapers suck, constant house chaos due to refusal to put one thing away before another one is gotten out sucks, tripping, stubbing toes and nearly falling down stairs due to said chaos being left on the stairs sucks, never ending laundry sucks, the idea that we'll never get to be fully rested/sleep in like we'd like to for at least 10-12 years down the road sucks (and that timer gets reset with every new kid that comes along,) and being able to do nothing while they're sick sucks. Sometimes having kids sucks.

But here's what I started to say before that. For every spit-up, puke, poop, tantrum, slober, laundry load, stain, fall, toy trip, and fight, are the best moments and helps a parent realize what life really is about. I love love love it when I can just lay down and hold Gus on my chest and kiss him till I'm sure he's sick and tired of it. Or having Zoee be so excited when I come home from work and run to give me a hug or sit on my lap while I drive to go park the car. Their eyes say it all. I love my kids.

Oh yeah, I love this lady too. And she loves the kids too. I couldn't have done it without her! Love you Stac!!
