We had plans to go out on Saturday night for our anniversary. It was really on Sunday but we wanted to go to dinner and a movie so we went on Saturday night. We went to Mackenzie's baptism at 5:00 which was really nice and then we went to dinner at Claim Jumper. We went there the night we got engaged so we decided to go there every year for our anniversary which is fine by me because that place is delicious! We enjoyed a very good meal and some great conversation. Nate kinda got a belly ache and had to go to the bathroom. Little did I know what he had up his sleeve. When he sat down he gave me a really good kiss. It was awfully romantic and I did think it was a little strange that he kissed me for so long in public. It was all part of his plan. We got done kissing and I looked down at the table and there was this box.
I knew it had to be something good because of the shape and size of the box. I opened it and MUCH to my surprise there was a beautiful solitare diamond necklace. I have told Nate before that I have always wanted a necklace that I can always wear and not take off. I have always loved the simple little solitares. I was so shocked I didn't know what to say. I just stared at it and kept saying, "really, this is for me?" It was so sweet. I love it so much and haven't taken it off since. Thanks Huzzband. I love you so much
After dinner we went to see a movie. It was fun to be able to go out and just spend time together. We laughed a lot and had a good time.
I really think I have the greatest husband in the world. He is so thoughtful and considerate and always trys to do something that is special that will mean a lot to me. He is wonderul and I love him to the moon and back.
Oh and if you are wondering what I got him for our anniversary, it didn't even compare to what he got me but he seemed happy.
A box of tops. He really liked them and played with them until he broke the spinner. I wonder if the gifts we gave are any indications as to how we thought the first year of marriage was?

Lucky ducky!!
That is SO cute! dang! Garrard boys are good... I think we feel somewhat the same way... Mike got me some "bling" for christmas and all I got him was a byu t-shirt and some hair stuff. But I remember Nate saying he thought those tops from the baby einstein dvd were pretty cool, so well done.
