These people are killing us!!

So after a very long, sleepness night we did not receive a phone call.

I woke up feeling pretty sad and felt like I could have a breakdown any minute. I did shed a few tears as I thought about it really not working out for us. I am not really sure how Nate was feeling. I asked him if he was ok and he said yes but that usually all he ever says. He left for work at Bass and I went downstairs to give Zoee some breakfast. Not long after he was gone, I heard my phone ring and I knew it was him. I ran upstairs as fast as I could, which is not very fast for a 9 monther. It was Nate and he said that Officer Sullivan had just called.

My heart stopped beating for a minute. Then he kind of laughed and said...

"The chiefs review is postponed till January 22nd."

Are you kidding me!? I don't know how much more of this I can take. Seriously!!

Oh my gosh. I would march right down to that police station and give them a piece of you mind. Do they realize the anguish they are causing!!
I am so relieved to hear that though. I kept checking my phone for a text last night!!
It says THREE days!!

I feel a very unprofessional trend with this whole thing. Hurry up and wait! Good luck on the 22nd

Stac,

You and me are in the same boat. I am so sick of waiting to hear from Fire Departments, I could rip my hair out! Anytime you need some support let me know! It is a crazy game they play with our poor hubbys, but all we can do is wait!

Yeah. Not a shock. Typical police/fire attitude. "You want us more than we want you." Once the hiring process and the academy is over, this type of B.S. is pretty much over, and a whole new bunch of B.S. starts-being an employee. At least then you are getting PAID to deal with their B.S. It is worth it, trust me. Just sucks to have to go through. Look at it this way-once he's in he'll never have to go through it again! Don't worry. He'll get in.
