We decided to come home yesterday because there was supposed to be a big storm and we wanted to miss it and we wanted to have some time for Nate to relax before he had to go back to work. The drive back was ok until we got the gorge and got stuck in construction for an hour. That extra hour made the ride a lot harder on all of us and we were just really glad to get home. Our house is still a disaster from all our boxes and bags we brought back with us. I spent a little time tonight trying to get some of it put away and some of the Christmas decorations. I want to have it all put away and my house in order before anything happens with Baby Gus. I feel like I want to clean my house really good but I just don't have the energy! I have been super sore today. It might have been the drive home or the massage I got last night. My friend was in town and she is a massage therapist so she brought her table over and gave me a pregnant massage. It felt really good but it made my shoulders and back a little sore today. I feel a little overwhelmed with the thoughts of scrubbing down my house and I guess I should just relax and take it easy. Gus will come either way and it will be ok.
It's good to be back but being back means being back to reality and I sometimes don't like reality. Oh well, such is life.
I do have some cute pictures that I want to post from our trip but I think I might work on that later. It is off to the shower and bed I go for now.
It is good to be back from this...

Those icicles could kill someone if they fell on them, huh Jerolyn? That looks like some SERIOUSLY cold weather. Glad you're home.
Yeah for home! and HOLY SNOW!!!
A few things:
First, the frame wasn't broken, it has just come apart a little bit and I pushed back together after I noticed it in the pictures (it looked worse in the pictures for some reason) and now it's PERFECT!
Second, I love everything about them! I love how they are a little crooked because it adds to the playfulness of it... seriously, you were wonderful to have even thought of doing something like this, let alone actually doing it! Thank you so much! :)
Oh, that made me miss the the Valley...and snow! We don't have any snow and it is alwasy kind of a bummer to not have it for Christmas. I have enjoyed your pictures and the gingerbread houses were awesome. I personally would have gone with Kaylee. What a cute idea!!
At least poke their eye out!!! What a great way to spend Christmas though ~ in the snow. It looked beautiful. See then you can come home to the flip flop weather. I miss LOOKING at snow around Christmas!
That snow looks totally intimidating to drive in...I don't think I would leave my house for 4 months if I lived in that. I'm such a wuss. And I would weigh 500 pounds from drinking so much hot chocolate! I drink a lot here when I think it's "cold." The motor in my Cocomotion would be burned up in about a month if I lived in Huntsville!
P.S. I have lots of hard candy for ya !!!
Glad you made it back! Snow is pretty in pictures, but I don't think I could handle it.
I have to agree with the majority on this one. Snow is overrated. Nice in pictures, not fun to deal with. Especially when there are drifts higher that the bus you are riding in.....Norwegian mission flashback.....sorry...
