Ok, so it took me three days to finish the ginbgerbread post. I tried to get it posted sooner but something would always come up. Sorry.
I can't believe it is Christmas Eve! Nate and I just got home from some last minute errands and shopping downtown. We came home just in time before the snow started. We have had two big storms since we have been up here and it is snowing now. They say this one is supposed to be the biggest storm of them all with A LOT of snow so we will see how it goes. I have taken some pictures of Nate and Zoee playing in the snow but I will just have to post them when we get back to Vegas because it is much easier on our computer. My parents computer is a little out dated.
We are busy wrapping presents, baking and getting ready for tonight. I love our Christmas Eve tradition and I am really glad we get to be home for it this year. We always have a nice dinner and then we all sit in the living room and mom gives each of us a children's book and we take turns reading it. It usually ends in lots of tears cause mom always finds the perfect book and writes us each a little note inside. It's a good tradition.
Church was really good yesterday. It REALLY made me miss home and reminded me of what a great town I am from. It is so nice to go to church where everyone knows you and you feel completely comfortable. The spirit was so strong in Sacrament when Bishop talked. He talked about two of his heros- Joseph Smith and Mary. It was really good and I bawled like a baby when he talked about Mary and what kind of a women she must have been to be able to be the mother of the Savior. He talked about her riding a donkey and what that must have been like. It really hit home for me because I have been complaining so much about my back hurting or my feet being swollen. I really tried to think how she felt and it meant more to me this Christmas than any other Christmas.
I hope that everyone has a wonderful night tonight and a great day tomorrow. I hope that things go as planned and that everyone can enjoy Christmas.
We love you all.
Merry Christmas!
