K, so the climax of this whole house buying thing is happening tomorrow- the big move. (oh, and if you happen to read this tonight you're more than welcome to come help us move in the morning, help loading or unloading or both would be just GREAT!! Call us if you're able and willing and need details) We (mostly Stac, actually) have been trying for the past week solid trying to get all of our.... stuff...... packed up and ready for tomorrow morning. We've made a big big effort to eliminate toys, clothes, junk, and larger items to help make the move easier, but to also make way for the life in the new house and the growth and new....... stuff...... that is sure to happen. Onward and upward, huh?
I just want to give Stac a lot of credit for where we're at at this point. She was the one who found the house. She handled all the phone calls to the realtor and the bank. She was who was handling all the running around finding and taking in the various documents and paperwork that we'd have to come up with with almost no time for lagging; doing all the running to and fro with both of the kids in tow. Stac has been the primary packer this week, also doing the majority of the going through, sorting, condensing, eliminating, and so forth (you know when you've had something for so long and not used it for so long that every time you go through that particular box you just can't get yourself to toss it or give it away even though you know in the back of your mind that you'll never use it ever again? Yeah, that's been her all week.) And again, she's done it all dealing with Gus and Zoee. Those 2 are never on the same page; Gus will nap and Zoee refuses to lay down, Gus will be perfectly content to lay in his bed and jabber and drool all over, but Zoee chooses that time to have her meltdown over whether or not she can have another string cheese, or when Zoee finally gives in to a nap then it's at that exact time that Gus decides to knock something over or try to play in the toilet or get directly under your feet just as you're trying to get efficient. Those 2 have been quite the challenge this week and I give Stac all the credit in the world for putting up with them as well as she has, even under the stress of trying to pack up. She truly is a good mom to them. I've been even less help than I could have been because I signed up to work overtime before we knew that the move was going to happen; so even more credit to her for doing all of the above almost single-handedly. She really is amazing and I love her to death for it.
We were talking last night and I realized that I couldn't have done ANY of this without her by my side. She deserves all the credit in the world.
Oh yeah, this is why I got on here in the first place. After I post this, I'm taking the computer apart and we don't know when we'll be back on. So stay tuned..........................
PEACE OUT speed bumps!!!!

Good luck with the move. Getting rid of stuff is so liberating. Don't worry in a few years, you'll be right back where you started. It's just too easy to let it biuld back up. Have fun unpacking. I love putting stuff away in a new place...especially when it's OUR place.
Oh my gosh! I think since you went private my updater doesn't tell me when you post now (so I'll just have to check in). I wondered what was going on!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! I'm so excited for you guys!!! We're going to have to get together at the park for playdates! You probably won't get this because you are in the process of moving, but I hope it all goes smoothly!!!
Yay for you guys! I guess you should be working on getting settled in now. Can't wait to see pics of the new place! So happy for you!
Hey- Kristy wants to be added as a friend, could you make that possible?
