and we're home

Like 10 days ago. I know we have slacked in posting about our trip. Sorry. I wasn't really sure there was much to post since I spent most of my days on the ship like this...

It was bad. Very bad. It kinda made me want to die. That really put a damper on things the first day and night. I felt a litter better the next day when we were able to get off that boat and walk around on solid ground.

Our first stop was in Catalina. (on Nate's birthday) I must say, it was beautiful but really boring. There wasn't much to do or see. It was interesting to walk up and down the streets and imagine life there.

After a few hours of walking around, we headed back to the ship to eat some more ice cream.

The next day we stopped in Ensenada. I like this part more than Catalina. We went on a little tour bus through the city up to a place called La Bufadora. It was really cool and we had a really cool tour guide so it was fun.

That is where we did all of our shopping. The flea market was there and they had a lot of stuff. I didn't really like it mostly because I felt so bad for these people begging me to by their stuff. I really did feel bad. We ate street tacos and they were good.

Here we are on the bus. (the only picture we have of us together!)

After La Bufadora, we went back to the boat where we ate more ice cream.

The next day (my birthday) was a "fun day at sea." We spent it taking long naps, playing Keno, eating ice cream, watching the shows and eating more ice cream.

I was glad when we woke up the next morning and we were tied to the dock in San Diego. I did have a good time. I really did. Minus the sick part. It took me awhile to decide if I would ever do it again but I think I would. I would just make sure to be more prepared next time. We ate a lot of ice cream cones and a lot of other food too. We had a great time just being together.

Some other highlights of our trip...

Being able to do a session at the San Diego temple. Holy cow. Look at those colors! Are there really skies that blue? It was so beautiful and amazing inside. I was so glad we got to do this. It was for sure a highlight of the trip!

The next best thing on our trip!!

Seriously, my mouth is starting to juice just looking at this picture. And yes, that is coleslaw from Chick-fil-a and a chicken sandwich!! Yum. 2 of the greatest foods ever.

So there you have it. Thanks so much to my WONDERFUL mom who came down just to watch my kids. Thank you for taking such good care of them and giving them the best week of their life.

You would have had a lot more fun in Catalina if you would have rented a golf cart and drove around the island like I told you to!! LOL! At least you listened to me about Samantha! :)

That brought back some memories. I have been there. And I must agree. Catalina is kind of boring, but I did love the flea market. And who could ever get enough of the ice cream cones!!? :)

Cute pics. That looks so fun. We've got a cruise savings account started. We went to The San Diego Temple several years ago and it really is just beautiful! Glad you had a good time...sorry about the seasickness.

Looks like fun! Other than the sea sick part! We took our kids on a cruise, and my daughter had a very hard time also! She says she would not do it again! But we would! Very cute pics!
