some updates

OK, I am SO behind on my blogging! Things have been so crazy lately and I just haven't taken the time to sit down and do it. I have a million pictures I want to blog so maybe I will have to do a few posts a day to catch up. Until then, I just wanted to give some updates on where we are at these days.

Nate is in the 2nd week of the academy. It's hard. Nate is SUCH a trooper and is doing so good. He leaves the house by 6:30 every morning and doesn't get home until 6:00 pm. He eats dinner and sits with me and the kids for about a half and hour and then it is up to the bedroom to study, shine his boots, iron his uniform or whatever he has to do. He usually doesn't get to bed till midnight. I have tried to set a bed time for him but he just never makes it because he is up doing stuff. He was made the platoon leader so he has a little extra responsibilty. I haven't heard him complain at all. I am amazed by his dedication and hard work. I am so proud of him.

Nate on his first day of work. Doesn't he look sharp?!

Oooh, so HOT!!

I am doing good. I have felt a little bit of stress with the whole job change and everything. I feel bad sometimes because I am not sure what I can do to help. I try to keep the kids entertained so Nate can study and try to have dinner ready when he gets home but that's really all I can do. I wish there was more I could do for Nate. I got my hair cut a few days ago. I love it so much. It is so much better when it is short. I can say that I gave growing it out a fair chance but it just wasn't for me. I look better with short hair. I still have the pink and I still love it!

My new cut.

Whoever said three is worse than two was right! Zoee has really been a challenge lately. (I had a breakdown on Sunday because I was just couldn't handle her!) Sometimes she is her cute self but she is hard a lot of the time. She always says NO and it drives me crazy. We battle it out sometimes because we are both so stubborn. She knows how to push my buttons and does it often. She isn't as cuddly anymore and I miss her little kisses. She is still really great to help with Gus and I am so glad for that. She is getting really funny and usually makes me laugh a few times a day. Here are a couple things she has said lately that made me laugh.

I was changing my shirt and she said "mom, your boobies are really big!" She talked about it all day and how momma has big boobies and Zoee has tiny boobies.

She came into my room the other day and it looked like she had something in her mouth. I asked her if she had anything in her mouth and she said yes. I asked her what she had in there and she looked at me and said, "teeth." Well, I guess I asked!

Zoee got into my makeup and this is what she did. It looked kinda scary actually but she walked around all day saying, "pretty." I couldn't tell her otherwise!

Gus is growing like a weed! He is getting so big and has the cutest, fatest legs! I love to kiss his thigh and his neck! He is starting to smile and make a few coo's. It's so cute. I always say I don't want them to grow up but once they start doing things it is so exciting and I can't wait for the next thing. He is getting better at sleeping through the night. He will go for about 6 hours and then wake up to eat and go right back to bed. He had a few weeks where he was really fussy and it was really hard but he is doing much better. He was blessed on Sunday and he looked so handsome. I will post some of those pictures soon. He is just getting so cute!

So glad to hear that Nate survived the first week of the academy and kudos for him for being leader of the pack! Loved the pictures, and the one of Zoee in the make up made me laugh out loud!

I love your blog! I love that I'm not the only one that feels that way about my child! Today... she has watched 4 hours of TV already JUST because it's easier than fighting with her all day! Gus is so stinkin cute! Both of your kids are!!!

I've always said 3 is worse than 2! Don't worry, it gets better before you know it. I love Zoee's make up and Gus is growing so fast! What a cutie!
